Our Business

Our business is built on a strong foundation of heritage and expertise. We were established in 1988 by Allan Pound and Ivan Gates, who shared a passion for providing exceptional insurance services. Today, we are proud to be a prominent independent insurance broker, specialising in a range of industries, including Nursery and Childcare insurance, Removers & Storage insurance, and Self-Storage insurance, as well as internationally in Tank Container insurance.

At Pound Gates, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. Our staff are involved in various activities, including volunteering, event participation, fund raising, environmental impact, and sustainability, all with a focus on health and wellbeing. We care about our staff's health and wellbeing and want to have a positive impact on their lives.

Our staff are actively involved in various charitable endeavours, including school governance, sports coaching for children, public service roles, charity trustees, and volunteering.
