CWH & Co is one of the largest independent firms of surveyors and loss adjusters in the UK, specialising in surveys and investigations for and on behalf of insurers that underwrite marine cargo, freight forwarders, and transit liability risks. The company was originally formed in 1978 and has since grown to become a leading player in the industry, with a presence in Kent, Suffolk, Cheshire, and Birmingham.

Our History

CWH & Co was formed through a merger between R F Clark & Co and Bob Hungate in 1978. The company initially focused on marine cargo claims involving commodities such as coffee, sugar, sheet materials, steel, timber, meat, and canned goods. As the market changed, the company quickly adapted to the introduction of roll-on, roll-off vehicles and became a leading player in roll-on, roll-off claims involving the CMR Convention.
