Welcome to Pen, a leading MGA with a bold vision to become a 1bn GWP underwriting and distribution business. Our journey began as a 'super start-up' of a dozen or so brands in 2015, and we've since transformed ourselves operationally, creating a multi-class, multi-territory virtual insurer that combines the security and capabilities of an insurance company with the entrepreneurial energy, niche expertise, and flexibility of MGAs.

We're now executing on our accelerated growth strategy, which has seen us acquire the highly respected Manchester Underwriting Management in 2021, as well as the specialist marine businesses Vessel Protect, Trafalgar Marine Trades, BMM Ports & Terminals, Freeboard Maritime, and Fortify Marine to the Pen family in 2023. This has created a whole new area of niche expertise, and we've also made strategic hires to develop and launch new risk solutions for the fast-growing tech sector, intellectual property space, and directors & officers.

Our underwriting business is led by underwriters, and we demonstrate every day the added value we bring to customers, colleagues, coverholders, brokers, and capacity providers alike. Our Services

At Pen, we offer a range of services designed to meet the evolving needs of our brokers and their clients. Our product range includes over 60 products, from commercial insurance to construction, cyber, financial lines, hazardous and environmental industries, household & personal lines, housing associations, marine, motor fleet, PA & travel, parish councils, property owners, solicitors' PI, technology, and recruitment insurance.

We also offer a range of distribution channels, including Pen Central, our online platform that allows brokers to buy our products online with no set-up costs, and register to start trading in less than 24 hours. Our leadership team is committed to driving growth and innovation, and we're constantly looking for new ways to improve our services and add value to our customers.
